Tualatin Heritage Center 100th Anniversary Part 1: The Building

Host Larry McClure will talk about the wonderful history of our building. After a fire destroyed their home located near Community Park in 1925, members and friends rallied and built the town’s new church which opened just a year later. The Portland architect charged $126 but church leaders complained. A local craftsman guided volunteers through the one-year project. This first program in our anniversary series will focus on what made the structure unique from any other church in the area.
